In general, not many people on this forum use the Internet
"comprehensive/packaged language learning" sites, such as Rosetta Stone or Live Mocha,
and whenever they do get discussed, most people seem to find them not particularly
helpful. I don't recall Rocket's internet option ever being discussed, but despite all
their irritating spamming, the original Rocket audio language course I found quite good
fun, altough the main narrator was a bit irritating.
Judging by her blog, Polyglosic seems to be a real person with a real interest in
languages. But on the subject of spam:

But you can't really say that Polyglossic recommends that Rocket-thing
when the first thing that is mentioned in the message is the steep price and the next
thing is a couple of cheaper or free alternatives. |

The web is stuffed with spam for Rocket Languages and LSLC and this is the tactic they
often use. Start with an apparently faintly critical impression, and then gradually
explain why it might be worth it after all, until they end up giving it fullsome
praise.

They are professionals, some work for PR agencies. They join lots of forums. They plan
their marketing strategies in advance.

Well, I hope you all believe me when I say that I'm not a spammer and I'm not a marketer. I'm a linguist and a language learner and I was hoping to get some impressions from people who have used a particular program.

Try not to take it personally.
People are understandably wary, having seen so much spam over the years, especially the
moderators, who see more than most of us, since they get rid of most of it before we
even notice.
Welcome to the forum, and I hope you stick around.
