Developing good pronunciation starts with input. You need to make sure that you expose yourself to a variety of good input from native speakers who have good pronunciation - male, female, young, old, etc. Once you have familiarized yourself with these sources, then you will notice patterns in the way things are said and distinguish between an individual's voice and the actual pronunciation of a word. How does the sound move? That is what you need to focus on. As you listen with keen attention to the way things are spoken, you will pick up things here and there until you have everything. Pronunciation is about training the ear. Then, once your ear is trained to discern good pronunciation, you need to generate it. You need to get your oral muscles used to pronouncing those words. A good way to start off is to exaggerate the pronunciation in your mouth, so that your mouth gets used to rolling r's or whatever. Once your mouth gets used to moving in a certain way, then you can start refining your pronunciation to get the finer points of sound.

This method seems too good to be true, but I doesn't seem it has got many attention. Has anyone tried it? Did you succeed in getting a near-native accent? It'd be great to hear more experiences with this method.
