Can anyone recommend any good movies in Mandarin Chinese? If you could also include what the movie

Just search for the films of Zhang Yimou. He's particularly good. The Road Home is a great film. It's a historical drama and it's Zhang Ziyi's first ever film. And if ever there's a reason to watch a film, it's her. He also made Hero and House of Flying Daggers, which are more of your standard historical martial arts laden films, but the former has cinemtography by Christopher Doyle, so it looks incredible.
The other thing to look at is Taiwanese films, in particular the films of Tsai Ming-liang. Unfortunately for learning Chinese, his characters don't speak much, but you tend to get more interesting and daring subjects coming out of Taiwan. The Wayward Cloud is a great musical, although I'll warn you now that it's about a porn star and contains a lot of disturbing sex scenes (also one of the funniest), so don't watch it if you're easily offended.
