Yeah, I'm having similar problems. I manage to write at least one "something" a week for both of my languages, but that pace isn't enough, I think.
Also, my writing time has been on the train, and the train has become more distracting lately. It's harder to concentrate and be creative. So I need to find another place to write. With my teaching schedule decreasing for December, I should be able to write more than one piece for each language per week. It's not that bad, though it's far from being acceptable.
So far, 17/12/2013, I've written the following: 03 Norwegian dialogues out of 30 02 French dialogues out of 30 02 Georgian dialogues out of 30 01 Chinese dialogue out of 10 I really have to speed up, but I'm finally managing to write almost everyday now. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

My progress so far:

I'm going the other way. I've struggled to write much lately. It is probably due to fatigue; I'm not getting enough sleep lately, and my body is adjusting to a new diet. I hope to get back on track soon.

Not too bad! It is certainly better than what I've been doing. I haven't written anything in weeks, unfortunately. Maybe it is time to recommit!

I just wrote my first short dialogue in French. I think this could really help me boost vocabulary, identify grammatical structures, and learn some colloquialisms. I'm not sure I'll take on this challenge, but 100 dialogues a year seems like a reachable goal. Although at my pace of learning I fear I won't be able to write dialogues that are unique from those written earlier in the year. Maybe I can do this, but just starting off with a more modest goal and see how it goes.

03 French dialogues out of 30 03 Georgian dialogues out of 30 02 Chinese dialogue out of 10 I have the feeling I still can do it before March. I took the Sunday to work on active skills, I do need a break from studying even though I do have free time. @Light , you'll notice some benefits gradually. In the beginning you'll come up with daily expressions that are hard to express in your target language, but through repetition you'll get used to them and they'll become automatisms. Try to write as naturally as possible, as you would say in your native languages, including filler words, for example. 1 person has voted this message useful |
