Because the original ide was to make all the names bold, for easier orientation. I will fulfill it when I am not too busy adding a dozen new people. As you may have noticed, the bold ones are those that signed up the first, not just my favourites :-)

There will surely be a Skandinavian team. A German team as well, as was mentioned. For French, I would love a one language team and I'd be willing to "run it".

The trouble of the romance teams in past was always the same in my opinion. They were always huge and with several larger inner groups so it wasn't so much of a team, I agree with Kerrie. Iberia does have better chances, in my opinion, because it crosses out two out of the four large romance languages (btw do we have people interested in an Italian team?). And the group of languages tied together is tied much more closely thanks to geography and they cultural-historical coexistance.

So, I am now going to start putting together the list divided into teams, based on the data collected so far. Should any mistakes happen, don't hesitate to urge me to correct them. I would leave splitting of "too large" teams to a later point even though I wouldn't mind having, for example, a separate French beginner and advanced team, should there be a crowd of us.

Keep signing up :-)

This sounds like fun. I'd like to join. I was already thinking of starting a Mandarin log for next year.

(I'm not too familiar with the European framework, but I've tried to guess.)
Spanish: Solid B2 in writing/reading/listening, advanced B1 (sometimes B2) in speaking (depends what I am
talking about). Goal: Solid B2/C1 in all skills
Mandarin: Starting from scratch (only know some very basic phrases). Goal: A2/B1
French: Starting from scratch, though did study briefly in high school. Goal: B1/B2 in reading, B1 in speaking

I'm not sure what is involved with being part of a team, but I'd probably be interested in one for Mandarin or French.

I'd be interested in signing up for a French team. A Beginner/False Beginner French team would be ideal.

I'd say speaking/writing/listening wise I'd be an A1 and a A2/B1 for reading. My goal being to move to a B2 in reading/listening and a B1 in writing/speaking.

My study of French for the last few years has probably been about a month of intensive study each year and nothing the rest of the time (I have been edging forward like that, but it's not exactly efficient). So my other goal is a more consistent year round approach to study.
