That's good to see, kanewai. I suspect that renaissancemedi would be most happy to make acquaintance with another person learning Turkish, no matter how briefly you intend to study the language. |

Indeed! I just hope all the voters for turkish will join the team (even for a while. We might seduce them into staying longer!)

Excepting FuenfKatzen and Serpent, could those who have voted for the Ukrainian team please send a PM to me? My hesitation in starting that team stems from there being an apparent inconsistency on one hand between the number of votes, and on the other, the number of members who've logged in this month and whose profiles show Ukrainian as a language being studied or on the hit-list.

I still haven't decided for sure but Team Kofola and the Ukrainian team were the ones I voted for.

I didn't even vote, so that means there are at least 7 more out there!

Now that JLPT is over, I'm going to be moving to a more balanced Finnish+Japanese study. So I'm back on the Finnish starting, about now, really.
And I don't mind having the mixed team for all Uralic and Balto-Slavonic. Really, even though I'm not interested in these other languages, it's always interesting to see the comparisons -- especially with Estonian and Sami.

I don't think I'm going to join any of these teams, but I'd like to be an observer for the Turkish one, if this new status applies here. I was on the rare languages team in 2012, but unfortunately I stopped studying Persian after my winter break was over...
P.S. renaissancemedi's cat picture in her shiny new Turkish log has influnced my decision. :))
