Just a few remarks (your French is really good):
-Que l'année 2014 soit une année pleine de joie, de bonheur Sometimes you have to use "année" instead of "an", the rule is not clear it simply doesn't sound right to French ears. -Je ne suis pas un grand lecteur, alors mon plaisir ce n'est pas de me trouver lisant un livre en français sans consulter le dictionnaire mais bien de pouvoir regarder une émission à la télé à l'aise comme je regarde la télé turque. The colloquial form "j'suis pas" is only used when you speak or in a dialogue but is never written otherwise. By the way, the film Le Hérisson is based on a novel which is great too. DEUTSCH Sometimes enjoyable moments show up in the most boring times. Yes, this time it was in a rheumatology class, when all the students were about to fall asleep, I started to read Assimil again. To be honest, I never "loved" German as I love French, maybe that's why I couldn't progress fast in this language. I always had questions in my mind :how far Assimil will bring me in the end? was I doing the correct thing? Impatience to wait for 100th lesson etc. I was on lesson 60 in my last update, and I browsed, or say, overran the book till the end in that boring rheumatology class :) Paying just a bit more attention on revision lessons. It wasn't a reading for studying or reading for detail, but to discover what's waiting for me. I have seen the grammatical structures to be learnt and the variety of the new vocabulary. At the end, I am really impressed how well structured this book is. I thought about what I learnt until lesson 60, and searched whether what want I want to learn is in the book or not. Without knowing why, I feel like I'll like German little by little. Let's study this book inside out and this will become a real assimil experiment. With no German in background and I'll see how far I will go! FRANÇAIS Je parle en français pratiquement tous les soirs sur Internet. J'adore! Sharedtalk était en panne et heureusement que ça marche maintenant! C'est simplement le réseau d'or pour les internautes comme moi qui aiment bien améliorer leurs compétences orales et d'écoute. Comme d'habitude je me suis rendu au centre culturel français pour emprunter de nouveaux films et livres. J'ai cherché "Le Herisson" mais la bibliothécaire m'a dit qu'ils ne l'ont pas, hélas. Je ne comprends vraiment pas pourquoi ils subventionnent les projets insolites qui n'ont aucun rapport avec la culture française ou la francophonie, à la place d'enrichir la bibliothèque. Ce que j'aime le plus au chemin d'apprendre le français, c'est de découvrir petit à petit les subtilités de la langue et témoigner sa richesse en vocabulaire. Moi qui suis natif d'une langue agglutinante, de la famille Ural-Altaï, très loin du français, me trouve chanceux parce que plus je m'avance en français plus j'ai des moyens à comparer deux systèmes. My TAC keeps being "multifocused" as it's supposed but nowadays I'm spending much more
time with French and German than with English. FRANÇAIS Vocabulaire Progressif du Français - Niveau Avancé This week I borrowed this book from CCF (centre culturel français) and I'm really satisfied with this book. It aims perfectly spoken French and contains hosts of useful words. What interests me about the word choice isn't that it's the detail words or of C1. On the contrary there are lots of everyday words we foreigners don't see in method books like Alter Ego, Taxi etc. but need to use for fluent speech. DVDs de la Semaine DVD Gulliver - France 1939-1968 Ce DVD est un documentaire qui comprend 4 petits films. Il s'agit de la défaite, le débarquement, la montée de De Gaulle au pouvoir et la contestation de 68. J'ai regardé ce DVD sans sous-titres et j'étais simplement heureux que j'ai très bien compris le documentaire. Il y avait beaucoup de scènes montrant les témoins raconter les histoires de l'époque et je vois que comprends mieux le français petit à petit. DEUTSCH Assimil - L'Allemand Leçon 63 Finally I'm used to declensions. I found declensions of adjectives hard at first. After having listened to dialogues many times and reading revision lessons, now I feel OK when I read a dialogue. I revise regularly previous lessons. But I'm still not used to German syntax. Sometimes inversion of the verb and detachable particles drive me crazy. I know it'll be alright after a while as it was with declensions, I'll get used to it after lots of repetition. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

However I decided with EN-FR-DE trio this year, RU and ES are tipping me the wink :)
But I restrain myself from getting into all in once. It would be more useful to have solid level in 2 languages rather than being intermediate in 5. FRANÇAIS Les films de la semaine : Indochine (1992) : Catherine Deneuve, Vincent Perez, Linh Dan Pham La 317e Section (1964) réalisé par Pierre Schoenndoerffer d'après le roman portant le même titre. Indochine is a great film for practising French listening skills. Pronunciation is clear, scenes are fascinating so you can focus on the film without getting bored. But La 317e Section is much more complex than Indochine and I could just understand the gist of what stars said. Voilà je vous introduis un livre formidable que j'ai trouvé au Centre Culturel Français cette semaine. Difficultés du Français par Jean-Michel Robert. Ce petit livre comprend 42 unités. Chacune explique une nuance du français sur laquelle les étrangers se trompent le plus. Ça ou ce/cela? Pronunciation des differents "plus". Amener ou emmener ? Retourner ou revenir? Liaisons facultatives etc. Je pense qu'il cible apprenants du niveau intermédiaire à avancé. Je continue à parler avec mes potes français sur Skype tous les soirs. Ils veulent venir en Turquie et visiter İstanbul en mars et je les accompagnerai s'ils accordent bien les dates du voyage avec mes dates des vacances du printemps. DEUTSCH Assimil _ L'Allemand Last week I neglected German. Once I heard or red, don't remember where, that we need 15 minutes of exposure to the target language daily in order to maintain its level. For this case, English has already been an experience but I can't let it happen with German. Then, I punish myself : I'll revise this and next week German regularly. ENGLISH At first I plan a well-built grammar revision. Advanced Grammar in Use will be my main grammar resource. I had a look on Assimil's Perfectionnement Anglais and listened to some of its recordings. My TAC is multifocused but unfortunately not "equally-focused". :=) Sometimes I lean on
French, sometimes on German and sometimes on English. Generally it's French on which I spent my time the most. Then here comes German and finally English. FRANÇAIS Compte rendu du mois de janvier Le janvier a été un mois productif pour mon français. J'ai regardé quelques films, j'ai parlé sur skype presque tous les jours mais malheureusement je n'ai guère révisé la grammaire. Pour m'habituer aux épreuves du DELF, j'ai écouté de la radio française régulièrement. France Inter est une chaine que j'aime bien et j'y trouve toujours des émissions qui m'intéressent. Cependant la diversité des sujets est assez riche et il y a des émissions à courte et longue durée qui correspondent à la longueur de mes temps libres. D'ailleurs je dois apprendre à écrire des textes argumentatifs en français. Franchement je n'écris même pas en turc depuis les examens de qualification pour l'entrée aux universités. Je suis ouvert à tous les suggestions! Je ne connais aucune technique et je suis bien débutant. Comment peux-je m'initier à l'écriture en français ? DEUTSCH Assimil L'Allemand - Leçon 77, (active 27) Adventure continues. I have 23 more lessons, I learnt many grammatical bodies, lots of words. Active wave is really waking my passive vocabulary up. During commuting, I try to build basic German sentences in my mind and it's amazing that I don't remember word- by-word as it usually happened to me while I was learning English, but I retain the words as templates and I end up building a complete sentence. I just use Assimil and a dictionary, I haven't needed grammar books yet, I can say that grammar instructions are way better than it was in Assimil Russian. On the other hand, I'm an impatient learner and am not totally loyal to Assimil's path. For example if I don't understand a structure in 68th lesson, I don't wait the day Assimil will introduce it, I refer 70th or 77th lessons to figure out what it really is and then I turn back to the current lesson. ENGLISH I began Advanced Grammar in Use and I enjoy it. It freshens my English. I did first 5 lessons of Assimil - Perfectionnement Anglais and I find there my favourite English accent, British. I hope to improve my accent as possible as I can. I understand written English very well but I feel myself like a B1 learner in speaking and especially in writing. 1 person has voted this message useful |
