So, I picked up a band I knew for long (over 10 years) but with a song I didn't know before. My translation is rather loose, and I apologize for
English mistakes beforehand.

Postgirobygget - Engel

Jeg går på skole og gjør det bra - I go to school and do well
Jeg spiller fotball i fritida - I play soccer at free time
Jeg er jentenes innerste drøm - I am women's most intimate dream
Og alle mødrenes drømmesønn - And the son in all mothers' dream
Mine venner sier jeg er streit - My friends say I am correct
Men det er noe som de ikke veit om meg - But there's something they don't know about me

Jeg er en engel ifra helvete - I am an angel from hell
Vinger ingen glorie - I wing no glory
Jævel satan egotripp - Damned satan egotrip
Følelser er dritt - Feelings are cræp
Engel ifra helvete - angel from hell
Jeg har ingen glorie - I have no glory
Og jeg elsker det- And I love it
Jeg elsker det - I love it
Blant kjente går jeg helst i moteklær - Among acquaintances I go rather in fashion clothes
I det private er det sort og lær - Privately it's black and leather
Jeg er medlem av en menighet - I am a member of a congregation
Men tilber satan som en sann profet - But I worship Satan as a true prophet
Jeg er ikke den som alle tror - I am not the one everyone believes
Men en engel som bedriver hor det er meg - But an angel who f-'s, engages in adultery, that's me

Not my mood song, not like the other songs from this group either. They normally write rather funny songs with parodies on society, like the German
band 'Die Toten Hosen'. I wonder why they wrote this one with such dark motives, maybe it has more appeal to the Norwegian youth?

It sounds kinda like a parody though. There is this stereotype that Norwegians listen to
Black Metal and burn churches ...
You can find some funny old newspaper articles about how Norwegians were afraid of the
"satanists" coming to their country as tourists because of the then popular Norwegian
Black Metal bands.

Is the team still accepting new participants?
If yes, I'd like to join studying Norwegian.
And this would be my first TAC, still a bit lost around!

Welcome to the team, victoraero!

Let us know where we can find your log so we can follow your progress, cheer for your successes and encourage you when you hit a plateau.

Will you start a brand new log for Norwegian or will you continue one you have already been keeping? Let me know, so I’ll add a link in the team roster: your name is already there ;-)

Don’t worry about it being your first TAC and feeling a little lost! The whole point of the TAC is to do your best learning your target language while offering and receiving encouragement and advice from your teammates. Basically, that’s all there is to it and as you can see it’s nothing too demanding especially now that the new year frenzy is over and most people update their logs more sporadically.

If you feel like it, there are the monthly challenges to do, but they are facultative so it’s really up to you whether you want to take part in them.

All you have to do now is start posting your progresses in your log and start following your teammates’ logs. I guess that’s it for now.

Lycka till!

Hej allihopa!

Does anyone know podcasts or audiobooks (preferably the latter) in mp3 format possibly
(or any other I can put on my phone for that matter) in "lätt" swedish (A2)?

Have you already checked out Klartext? You can download the daily (Mon-Fri) news through this feed: http://api.sr.se/api/rss/pod/4019

Or you can have a look at Sveriges Radios Unga Radioteatern. I’m not sure that the level is exactly A2 (and whether you can stomach children’s programmes in general) but it is probably more accessible than the equivalent grown-up programme.

Just this week, for instance, they’ve begun a dramatization of Neil Gaiman’s Coraline even though maybe this particular series is not downloadable. But there’s an archive with past programmes that are still available for download.

Poddradio - Unga Radioteatern
Unga Radioteatern (streaming)
Poddradio - Radioteaterbiblioteket
Poddradio - Radioteatern

I hope this helps!

It does, thank you very much.

I did look into Klartext but I'm not much into news, I'd rather have some fictional,
perhaps funny stories which I can listen to whilst jogging or going for a ride, without
having to pay them much mind in order to follow through.

Ingen orsak!

By the way, I’ve used this occasion to add a few links to our first-page Swedish linkography.

If anyone has any suggestions for useful resources online, I’m always eager to hear about them and to add them to our linkographies, especially since I’m really pretty useless when it comes to Danish and Norwegian topics.

---

PS. Thanks Expugnator (sorry it took me a few days to answer) for your suggestion about our monthly challenges.

Any other idea out there? Anyone?
