Don’t worry about the space in the link, victoraero and sarnek: it’s a common bug here in the forum or maybe it’s an antispam system.

March Challenge
The translation is rather pedestrian, but I hope it gets the meaning of the lyrics across. I had some trouble with this challenge because there are so many Norwegian songs I love. In the end I chose Egentlig en danser from Kari Bremnes. Most of the other songs had so much dialect in them that I didn't know how I should write the text correctly.
Jeg hadde været ute, jeg var full av vin og prat. Jeg var moden for en taxi jeg har alltid været lat. Det var ingen bil ledig alle taklyser var sløkt Sikkert snakka litt for mye sikkert flira litt for høyt. Jeg gikk mot St. Hanshaugen det var ikke langt å gå. Det var nye støveletta de var akkurat for små. Jeg fikk stansa en Mercedes jeg var glad og lealaus. Jeg var åpen for å skravle men sjåføren min var taus. Det ble nesten litt for stille så jeg nynna på en låt. Jeg så plutselig i speilet at sjåføren satt og gråt. Vi var kommen dit jeg bodde og historia er sann. Her begynnte han å snakke: "Er du sanger", spurte han. "Jeg er egentlig en danser men jeg danser ikke mer. Jeg kan ikke lenger danse uten ho. Vi var ett og samme trinn samme hjerte, samme kinn. Når vi dansa var vi én og ikke to." ---------------------------------- I had been out, I was full of wine and chat. I was ready for a taxi I've always been late. There was no taxi free all the taxi lights were out. Certainly (I) talked too much certainly (I) laughed too loud. I walked towards St. Hanshaugen it wasn't long to go. There were new bootees they were just a bit too small. I managed to stop a Mercedes I was happy and shaky (?). I was open for a chat but my driver was tacit. It was nearly a bit too silent so I hummed a melody. Suddenly I saw in the mirror that the driver (sat and) cried. We had arrived (at the place) where I lived and the story is true. There he started to speak: "Are you a singer", he asked. "I am actually a dancer but I don't dance any more. I can't dance without her any more. We were on the same level, same heart, same chin. March Challenge
As far as I can tell, this is the Danish equivalent of "Happy Birthday". I dag er det Oles fødselsdag I dag er det Oles fødselsdag! Hurra! Hurra! Hurra! Han sikkert sig en gave får som han har ønsket sig i år og dejlig chokolade med kage til. Hvor smiler han, hvor er han glad Hurra! Hurra! Hurra! Men denne dag er også rar, for hjemme venter mor og far med dejlig chokolade med kage til. Og når han hjem fra skolen går, Hurra! Hurra! Hurra! Så skal han hjem og holde fest, og hvem der kommer med som gæst, får dejlig chokolade med kage til. Til slut vi råber højt i kor. Hurra! Hurra! Hurra! Gid Ole længe leve må og sine ønsker opfyldt få - og dejlig chokolade med kage til. ------------- Today is (insert name)'s birthday Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!
