Hallöchen!

This is probably the only TAC team that I'll join this year...

Also, some ressources:

DasErste Live
German-English Dictionary
German-Norwegian Dictionary
Duden
Rechtschreibung (PONS)

Welcome to the team Indíritheach, s0fist and Pochemuchka!

Thanks to stifa for the links to resources.

Spaß gets my vote for a team name too.

I started learning German for a few weeks in 2012, inspired by a trip to Berlin. I followed this up with a couple of months study in spring 2013 and a trip to Baden-Württemberg. I would self assess my level to be currently A1, although heading in the right direction towards A2. I'm still in that comfortable beginner stage where I'm fairly sure about what I know, because I still don't know very much.

During 2014 I intend to divide my study time between French and German, focusing more intensively on French in the first half of the year and German in the latter half.

My goal for German by the end of 2014 is to reach a level where using books and TV extensively will help me make rapid gains.

Spaß gets my vote as well!

For this year I really want to focus on improving my output skills, solidifying my grammar, and in general just becoming more confident with the language. Because German was my first foreign language, and I had a difficult experience with it when I first started learning, I've always had this block of it not being "good enough." I hope that by the end of the year I'll be able to use the language confidently.

Is it alright join as an observer, with the hope of becoming an active participant? I think
it's better then the other way around...
I'm starting at level zero, and with some concern, as this is my first attempt to learn a
language alone, as an adult. I've only just joined the forum, so I'm still trying to bridge
my lack of knowledge in German and in the language learning process with the sea of
information here...
That said, I'm really excited about this - I've been wanting to learn German in a very long
time, and coming across this forum and yearly challenge gave me a sudden sense of
possibility.
I don't want to set goals, because I don't have a sense of what will a realistic target be,
but I do want to finish the assimil course I've started and get a sense of the language that
will allow me to improve in a more natural way - with books, blogs, movies and music.

Good luck to everyone!
