Here's my stab at the January challenge!

Selamat sore! Nama saya Hekje. Saya berumur 22. Saya dari Amerika Serikat. Saya tinggal di New York. Rumah
saya tidak besar sekali. Saya seorang seniman. Setiap hari, saya pergi ke kantor saya.

Ibu dan ayah saya tinggal di Maryland. Saya punya seorang adik laki-laki. Namanya Jordan. Jordan tinggal di
Maryland juga bersama ayah dan ibu. Rumah mereka besar sekali.

Saya bicara bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Belanda. Tapi saya tidak bicara bahasa Indonesia baik. Jika saya bicara
bahasa Indonesia lebih baik, saya akan begitu senang.

Translation:

Good evening! My name is Hekje. I am 22 years old. I am from the United States. I live in New York. My house is
not very big. I am an artist. Every day, I go to my office.

Dad and Mom live in Maryland. I have one younger brother. His name is Jordan. Jordan lives in Maryland too with
Mom and Dad. Their house is very big.

I speak English and Dutch. But I do not speak Indonesian well. If I speak Indonesian much better, I will be very
happy.

Any corrections are most welcome.

Hello! My name is M. I live in the Unite States, in the Midwest. My father's side of the family is Armenian and Turkish. (My mother's side is German.) Unfortunately my father never spoke Armenian with me when I was a child and so I have to learn it now.

See you later!

Nama saya Judith, saya berumur dua puluh sembilan tahun dan saya tinggal di Berlin, di
Jerman. Saya berasal dari kota kecil bernama Kamp-Lintfort. Kota itu tidak jauh dari
Duisburg dan Düsseldorf, di Jerman barat. Orang tua saya masih tinggal di sana. Saya
punya adik laki-laki, namanya Jens.

tapi sekarang saya ingin mempelajari bahasa Indonesia lagi. Semoga sukces, semua orang!

My name is Judith, I'm 29 years old and I live in Berlin, in Germany. I come from a
small town by the name of Kamp-Lintfort. This town is not far from Duisburg and
Düsseldorf, in Western Germany. My parents still live there. I have a brother, his name
is Jens. He also lives in Western Germany, in Essen, where he works as a chemist.

I work as a programmer. I am not employed, I work freelance. I really like working
freelancing because I can work at home, I can stop and start whenever I want.

My hobby are various languages. I particularly like Indonesian because this language is
quite easy. I started to learn Indonesian last April. At the time I studied hard in
order to participate in a speaking contest in Indonesian which was last June. After
that I didn't study as hard, but now I want to study Indonesian again. Good luck,
everyone!

The idea is that even if you start from zero, you'll probably learn how to say a few
basic things about yourself in one of the first lessons of your course.
