I've given up posting anything substantial in Chinese on this forum.

In addition to the videos from LangMedia that I posted today in some

Greek in

Thanks Chung.

Have completed NCPR chapter 13 and written a paragraph about my apartment which I had
corrected on lang8
The big news is I have booked a trip to China this Summer! Will be visiting Shanghai,
Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Guilin and Hong Kong. Hoping to spend a day at the panda
breeding centre as a volunteer, feeding the pandas and sweeping up panda poo. :-). I
don't know whether I'll get to speak a lot of Chinese as I'll be travelling with a non
Chinese speaking friend and using guides and drivers a lot, but hopefully I will speak
some, and it is a big incentive to push my Mandarin forward. I am in Prague at the
moment, when I get back home I will be focusing exclusively on Mandarin for the next 5
months. I will continue using NCPR (should soon be on book 2), but will also use
Discover China, Making Connections, and for touristy language the BBC course Talk
Mandarin. And not forgetting skritter for hanzi practice. I also intend to do some
skype lessons on italki. Anybody had any experience or got any recommendations?

Experience or recommendations for what? Things to do in China? Or for study materials? I just got back from China last October, after spending a year and a half there :) I didn't do much traveling, but maybe i can answer some questions if you've got any.
It's exciting to hear that you'll be going to China, how long do you plan to be there altogether?

Will be in China for 3 weeks. I was asking about experience with Italki, or
recommendations for teachers on there.

I've had ups and downs with italki teachers, i haven't had any real flops, but some of the teachers impressed me more than others. There was one teacher in particular that i did really enjoy. I'll pm you their account if you want to try talking to them. To be honest, i'd really like to resume classes with them.
