Thanks both Stelle and Arekkusu for becoming our godparents! I look forward to interacting with you both throughout the year as my goal is to speak Quebecois French (in all registers of speech) and your suggestions, corrections and advice will be of great aid to me.

Also, I'll just clarify that I have nothing against non-Canadians in the team; I was just joking around because our team is probably the team with the largest members to Canadian population ratio for this TAC. :) (Though I haven't checked to make sure.)

I'm all for deuxième!

Thanks to our two godparents for joining us. I don't mind that there are lots of Canadians on
our team because then I get to learn about the differences between the dialects. Plus I get
to say things like, "So, what about that ice hockey, eh?"

Edit: Where our team members all live:

Canada: 4
USA: 2
UK: 2
Australia: 1
Belgium: 1
Brazil: 1
The Netherlands: 1

+ 2 Canadian godparents

Wat interessant!

Hoi lolanthe,

Jij woont toch in Nederland?
moedertaal Engels is?

Peter/Steven, I'm going to PM you because there's no way I can translate what I've written in
Dutch into French at this point. Je suis un noob.

Hello all Deuxième members!

I'm happy to join your TAC as a co-godparent.

A quick word about myself: I'm originally from Québec, but I currently like in Western Canada. I'm not teaching right
now, but I did for several years (and I do take on students every now and then if someone asks); I work as a
translator, sometimes as a conference interpreter, and I also create language-learning material (ie. for
Frenchpod101 and I wrote a course on spoken Québec French).

Where I may be most of use is perhaps pronunciation and Québec French, but of course, I'll try to answer any
question you may have. You are lucky to have two godparents -- make the best of it, starting NOW! I will be
following this thread for questions, but feel free to PM me as needed.

I'm very glad to have a co-godparent! I won't feel so bad when I have to abandon you for six weeks.

This team is lucky to have Arekkusu - he's very knowledgeable and has written a great guide for learning

PM
