I tested Finland based Russian online bookstore Ruslania.com and was pleased with the results.
They sell many Russian audio books in Mp3 and tapes and delivery was fast. The guy on email was friendly and I would order again from them.

I have successfully used www.ozon.ru for ordering books and CD's directly from Russia, as did a friend of mine who lives in Australia. They also carry DVD's, but these I have so far been ordering from www.russiandvd.com, which has free shipping inside the US and carries many movies in the NTSC format. This site is remarkable in that they provide full-length album preview for many of the CD's they carry, plus 10-minute videoclips for some of their movies.
Another bookstore of note for US-based customers is www.kniga.com, but although I have used them a couple of times, I find their prices and shipping rates somewhat high.

I normally buy from ozon.ru
but yesterday I bought two books from
http://www.kniga.ru/
because they were cheaper.
My main source is Amazon.
As a formar Amazon employee, I have my secrets to get the books cheaper :-)

Your second word there looks enticing. Do you know of any plans to open an amazon.ru? Or any other international Amazon stores, for that matter?
-------
As for ordering Russian books, I've used www.biblio-globus.us and www.kniga.com and received excellent service from both.

Well I left 3 years ago and this question was the number 1 in all hands meetings. I think that they had bad experience with France and they would like to concentrate rather on bringing Russian books or books in other languages into their catalog and then sell them in the existing pages. But I know that things can change quickly at Amazon.

I think that Ruslania has a worldwide free shipping month now in July.
