The other day it struck me that I am getting a large quantity of languages on my Facebook feed - in fact some of them are languages I do not even understand. I get the following:

Norwegian, Swedish, English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Bosnian, Greek, Italian, Romanian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Islandic and Faroese.

Is that a common thing, or am I a bit abnormal in this respect?

That's a lot, although given your background I don't think of it as surprising. I guess that it's a function of what pages you like, as well as the friends you have.

A quick check of my news feed shows that most of my friends' status updates are in English, but a few are in Polish, Ukrainian, Finnish or German. I've also "liked" a lot of those "Learn useless [insert language name here]" pages and so get frequent updates and one-liners in the relevant languages.

Finnish, English, Norwegian, Russian, one thing in German. Hm. I need to remedy this.

German, English, Norwegian, Russian, Italian. I think I also get some Ukrainian and
Latvian from time to time, but it's hard to tell for me. But I don't really use
Facebook, so I don't care.

Are the "Learn X language" pages any good? I liked the Arabic one long ago, but nothing. I'm thinking of finding German.

As for the languages in my feed: Polish, English (nearly tied because most of my friends study English at uni), Spanish, Arabic.

May I suggest:

Learn useless Northern Sámi
Samu opettaa Sinulle Viroa!
Märjj opettelee kanssasi koltansaamea
Opi Neetan kanssa inarinsaamea
