In the workplace there are all sorts situations that would lead to burnout. The 1 thing I'm seeing are
employees being pushed to the limit to do more work for the same or less pay. Seemed like every
company / organization is trying to trim costs.

Learning a new language can be stressful because people try to "multitask". There are only so many
hours in a day. 6 months ago when I was working on Mandarin I had to cut all my English language TV
and radio programming out except for the news. The same # hours I'd be watching TV in English I'd
spend the same # hours with Chinese programming. Instead of "America's Got Talent" I'd be watching
"中国达人秀". TV programs are made for entertainment so they are not boring like repeating words &
phrases out of books. You can have stress pushing yourself too hard or just sitting in a classroom for
2h /day and getting nowhere.
