I didn't intend to say German translations of WWII comics, but rather comics which
belong to kind of the same genre. These comics are -not humorous. -do not have an overly complicated plot. -are situated in an adult world. I guess giving Commando comics as an example was asinine on my part :-\ 1 person has voted this message useful | |

It looks like Goethe Institut has a site featuring comics here; also here lists some deutschsprachigen comics.

My friend has a fascination with Polar exploration but also loves comics and graphic
novels. I randomly found her 'Packeis' which had won the Max and Moritz prize. I haven't read it but she loved it. It's about the first African-American polar explorer, Matthew Henson. I discovered it on The German Graphic Novel 1 person has voted this message useful |
