What are the differences between Michel Thomas Start course & Michel Thomas Introductory?

The official website says that the content is the same.

However, I see that the length of the Start courses is just around 1 hour, while the length of the Introductory courses is around 2 hours.

I just looked on Amazon and it looks to me that the "Start" course is simply the first hour of what is usually referred to as the "foundations" course or beginner course. The "Introductory" course appears to be either the foundations course or the first two hours of the foundations course (depending on which language). I could be wrong, but it appears they just package the first hour and/or two hours with different names.

I suggest you just get the full foundations course for whatever language you are learning.

By the way... welcome to the forum.

I did some researches and found that:

-Start course length is a little bit more than 1 hour. It contains content from the first 2 hours of the total course.

-Introductory course is the first 2 hours of the total course (without editing).

I don't know how they can reduce 2 hours to just a little more than 1 hour.
Do they cut all responses from the other 2 students in the recording?

And thanks for your greeting. Although this is my first post, I have read and learned a lot from this wonderful forum.

I have the Start French CD, and it is about 1 hour, but contains material from the second hour of the total course. It is just edited down, but still contains all student responses for the included portions. I couldn't tell you in detail what they cut or what they included. Either way, it's pointless. One or two hours of a Michel Thomas course isn't really enough to learn anything.
