I just started using Anki flash cards and am using the borrowed deck of the 5,000 most
commonly used Spanish words. I guess I'm around the intermediate level in my Spanish so that means I already know many of the cards on the 5,000 list. How do I remove the cards I already know? I've been clicking on the *options* button on the bottom right corner of the cards and then "suspend the card" but that doesn't seem to work Am I doing it wrong? How do I get rid of the cards I already know so I can focus on the vocabulary words I'm not as familiar with? 1 person has voted this message useful | |

"Suspend card" should work. It will keep the cards in your deck, but they won't show up during reviews until you unsuspend them.
You can tell if a card has been suspended if you go to Browse, search for the card, and it is highlighted in yellow. If you want to permanently delete a note from your deck, you can choose "Delete Note" from the Options, or just press the Delete button on your keyboard when you come across a card you want to delete. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

I've left easy vocabulary in and just let my quick answers and the Anki algorithm take care of the rest.
