Truthfully, I'm not sure if I want to continue my study of Mandarin this year. My motivation has faltered greatly and I think I will just focus on my science classes for the moment. Also, I'm at an intermediate almost advanced level in Spanish, so I think I will focus on Spanish and master that first before I continue onto Mandarin. Also, there are a lot of Spanish speakers in my area, much more than Mandarin speakers. I think I will focus on Spanish for a year at least. But I thank everyone who posted on this thread. I will keep all of your advice in mind as I continue on my Mandarin journey in the future. I will probably allow myself more time to learn the language properly as well.
