1.German
2.Mandarin 3.English 4.Japanese 5.Spanish* *As others said,it changes depending on my mood.I will certainly learn Spanish,but when I have to select just 5 languages then I feel the lack of African and Arabic languages. I've got some Italian and German under my belt, so I'd like to perfect those.

Not counting the languages I know~have studied to a certain degree already (Russian, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Italian) I'd pick:

I already know these languages at a basic level, but I want to improve them at a native level fluency:
1.- English 2.- French 3.- Italian 4.- Portuguese 5.- Maya-Tsotsil If I exclude these languages, then I would choose: 1.- German 2.- Classical Nahuatl (I'm just a beginner in this language) 3.- Maya Yucateco 4.- Zapoteco del Istmo 5.- and... mmm... (difficult to say)... maybe Mandarin... or Japanese... or Arabic... who knows! I think it's not necessary for me to speak at a native fluency level languages like Classical Hebrew, Ancient Greek or Latin. 1- French 2- Japanese 3- German 4- Danish 5- Russian In that order. I thought for a little while about Italian or Spanish then realised I have no interest in the countries or the people!! and since I'm not interested at all in African/Indian languages the question turned out to be easier than I thought! 1 person has voted this message useful |
