Hi,
I'm currently learning French and Russian. I'm learning French at school and Michel Thomas Total and I have
no method for Russian except a few apps on my phone
Can someone suggest any methods to learn new languages fast?

Michel Thomas is pretty popular around here, and lots of people get good results.
You might find something interesting on our How to Start Learning a Language page, which lists a number of techniques and courses that have worked well for many people at HTLAL. If you want to share more about your experiences or goals, or if you have any further questions, lots of people here will be happy to give you more detailed advice.

Don't worry about learning fast, worry about learning well. If you do have a deadline, do your best to put in more time.

Totally agree with Serpent. Do you have a deadline, or do you just want to learn as fast as possible? Learning a language well is a long-term committment, but one which is well worth it.

Thanks EMK. And no! I don't have a deadline, I just don't want to spend 10 years learning one language. I'm
only 13 so I'm getting French at school, but my school doesn't do Russian (the 2nd language I'm learning)

Listening to Michel Thomas Russian and after that studying Assimil Russian worked rather well for me.
Now I always do that: Michel Thomas first to have a general idea of the grammatical landscape of the language and then Assimil.
For Russian, the "Ruslan" textbooks (it's british) are also rather good (especially the second volume: the first volume was too easy for me and the 3rd is insanely difficult: if you're a complete beginner, start with the 1rst volume, anyway)
A good free online course is LearnRussian: 100 lessons with audio and exercices.

I would choose Michel Thomas + Assimil for both. I have read last two lessons of Assimil Russian and I was
surprised about the topic and casual words have been used there.
