I have always tried to write down words I don't understand (only a sample of them), but
I have never really attempted it in a structured way.

I might well give focusing on verbs a go. They are in many ways the driving force
behind a sentence or a clause, and the nouns are the "passengers".

Or: the verbs are the girders, and the nouns, adjectives, and prepositions, etc, are
the bricks. Or something like that. :-)

I'm not sure who those people are. I don't think I'm one of them. I mean, I try, but I
wouldn't say it was automatic.
