My son works for Oxford Dictionaries and is heading up a major project to digitize and
collect lexical information for 100 languages on the web. The content will be free and will be developed in association with speakers of the languages. It is in early stages at the moment but will eventually be a huge resource, particularly for languages which are poorly represented on the web now. They are working on the first ten now, including Northern Sotho, to see whether they can cope with clicks. There are two Youtube videos explaining the concept at Oxford1 and Oxford2. The first video describes the complex semantic network they intend to develop using the lexical material, and the second is a more general introduction.
