Those translation come straight from a dictionary, but not a very good one I'm afraid.
That's one of the reasons I started the project - freely available dictionaries (that
you
also can use offline and transfer to your kindle for example) are often not of high
quality, especially for the less-commonly learned languages. It's unfortunate when not
even one of the suggested translations is applicable. I had a similar experience with a
freely available Kindle-dictionary for Swedish - it offered many translations, but I
have
never in my life even seen half of them (the English words) and was left utterly
confused.
It might or might not have had the right translation among them - I couldn't spot it.

With low-resource I mostly mean linguistic resources (corpora, machine-readable
dictionaries, NLP-tools, ...). But they are usually also low on learner resources and
less-commonly learned/taught.
There is plenty of learning material for Bokmål, not so much for Nynorsk I'm aware of
(especially if we assume no prior knowledge of a Scandinavian language). For my level I
would already be glad if I could use Nynorskordboka on my kindle, this would make life
so
much easier.

One point I noticed was that the word class more often than not was completely off the mark - even in cases where the basic meaning was correct. This may complicate your evalution of the results both because the respondents may act differently in such cases and because you don't get the two kinds of errors nicely separated.

Longer texts (like this one) would be more suitable:
