Pimsleur French Plus/IV? | ||

Hi,
Was wondering if someone could help me out with this. Some places Pimsleur French Plus is labeled as level 4 but am I right in thinking there is a completely separate level 4 and wonder what is the difference between these? Can one skip this separate level 4 and just do French plus before moving onto Level 5? 1 person has voted this message useful | |

French Plus is a course of 10 lessons that does nothing new from Levels 1-3 but
practices that material in the context of a publishing industry conference. Some think it was developed for Simon and Schuster employees and churned out onto the public to make more cash from the Pimsleur name. It is almost universally panned. I have completed it myself and it is little more than practice - it teaches nothing new except some publishing industry vocabulary. French 4 is an entirely different course that replaces French Plus that carries on the teaching from Level 3 introducing new grammar. One cannot skip Level 4 and move on to French 5 by using French Plus. 6 persons have voted this message useful | |
