Can someone give me a list of all masculine nouns and all feminime nouns in French as well as their English translation? I just got confused about determining which one is masculine and which one is feminime. In the book I read, it mentioned that masculine nouns ends with c, d, g, l, r, t, age, eau, and ment, while feminime nouns ends with n, r, s, t, x, and e. I was confused because r & t were mentioned in both masculine and feminime. If I encounter a word which ends with r or t, how can I determine its gender? The book also mentioned that some words can change gender just by changing its last letter. Is there a special characteristic to which words are gender-changeable? Also, which words change their meaning if the word before them (le/la) was changed?
