The LanguageLearners.org forum is nearly impossible to access at present and has been since the Christmas holidays for the most part. 504 Gateway Time-out is now the norm. I have contacted our administrator, rdearman via X (formerly twitter) and am awaiting a response as to word of a plan to restore access for the members-update: rdearman says the forum will be rebuilt this weekend. It will be down until then.
So, the administrators know what's going on. A plan exists to restore forum access, at present the plan is to "rebuild the forum". It will undoubtedly take time to implement- rick says the forum will be down until it is rebuilt. I remind everyone that our administrators are volunteers who pay the costs of running the forum out of their own pockets. The forum operates without advertising. Please continue to be patient. A terrible shame LLORG is still down (just as I've really started to up my study pace as well...) but I'm sure Rdearman

As of 1337 Atlantic Standard Time, 1737 GMT, I have not heard from our administrator, rdearman, at LLORG about the status of the forum. It is still not reachable. I have messaged him again today
Today is a holiday in the US. emk may be working on restoration. If it is not restored by the end of the day US EST, then our problems may be more severe. Edit: Thought I might try to contact emk via twitter, but I see that he hasn't posted since 2018. The posts from that time talk about what he had to do to get it back online again back then. New Update from rdearman via twitter
As of 1442 Atlantic Standard Time, 1842 GMT, I have heard from our administrator, rdearman, at LLORG about the status of the forum. It is still down and not reachable. The plan to restore it was affected by the US winter storms and emk's loss of electricity at his house. rdearman: "Well it all went a bit pear shaped!!! Emk lost electric power at his home. Rural area in the snows of New England and we didn't manage to recover the time. So we are going to try again this week or at the weekend." That's all I have for now. We will have to wait.
