I was at present doing the Michel Thomas Intermediate course and was wondering if there are any transcripts of his audio around. I was having some trouble doing the pasee composee part of the course and was thinking that if I had the spelling of some of the conjugated verbs it would make life so much easier.

Examples of the type of phrases that I am having difficulty are like...

If I would have seen you last night I would have called you...
If I shall him again, I will try to have dinner with him

etc etc.

Any suggestions of where I can find any explaination notes. I had purchased a second hand copy of Michel Thomas on ebay and did not get the boxed version. Therefore I am not sure if the boxed copy contains a text book.

Thanks in advance

Michel Thomas Transcripts

I think these have been discussed before, and they have been yanked by Yahoo as violations of the TOS, so I suggest you save copies to your computer. Note that the transcripts do have the occasional error, but it should be obvious to someone who actually knows the language and is following along.

Thank you DMG for your post. I was able to go to the site and print the transcript. The advanced level came out to be 27 pages. I was just reading them and I think that together with the audio CD's it will be very helpful in my learning. Thanks again for your help.

By the way, I had to use Mozilla Firefox to view the files as IE could not open them.

Sorry to yank this thread back from the dead... but does anyone have transcripts for the newer MT courses? I just started the Mandarin course and was considering transcribing it myself, but as I'm a complete beginner in Mandarin this obviously wouldn't be the ideal situation.

They don't keep the transcripts a secret. You can readily download them for the current edition of the courses from the Michel Thomas website at http://www.michelthomas.com/downloads.php

Thanks for the link, Mike, but it appears that the booklets offered for download there (at least the Mandarin Foundation Course booklet, which is the one I'm most interested in) are outlines of what's covered in each CD track, rather than actual transcripts of the audio. Still a useful resource though...
