If you're interested, I could easily whip up a list of links for you to download later today.

The only problem with that is that as soon as the URLs are published on the forum, the school hosting the files without password protection will close them down to public access. It has happened before. I suspect they are providing legal public access unintentionally. There is more than one site to legally obtain the audio.

Hint: try Google and playing the URLs to the MP3s and find the patterns. If you are not a scripting hack, a plain HTML page with a download manager will work just fine.

But the site that they're linking to _does_ have all of the files. You just have to know where to look. For example:

http://otter.middlebury.edu/ns-media/frenchmedia/action/07-0 2.mp3

is a live link.

need to remove the space between the 07-0 and 2.mp3, then it works

I found out from playing around with the address, all the audio, plus a lot more, can be gotten from here:

http://et.middlebury.edu/et/languages/ipods/french/audio/

Just download the zip files for lessons 1-27 and 27-52 onto your desktop.

Can someone who has gotten the French in Action audio files from any source on the Internet tell me how many files total that they have? I have 1762 audio files and I'd like to know if that is the correct total for a complete set.

Sorry to bump an old post but!

http://otter.middlebury.edu/ns-media/frenchmedia/french_acti on/action.zip

seems to be password protected.

Any help would be most greatly appreciated. I have been looking for this file for just over 3 hours without any success!

I could provide anyone with FTP access to my site if anyone is willing to upload. From there I can divide up the files and upload to one of the public servers (i.e. megaupload)

Thanks :-)
