I like Russian (spoken with a Moscow accent) and French. I enjoy German when it is elegantly spoken but I don't know I would call it beautiful.

My personal choice is Russian. Being a native Spanish speaker, I'd like also to know which Spanish dialect you consider is the most beautiful...

The Cuban dialect is the most beautiful to me.
However, there are particular sounds that I like in Mandarin. Like a 4th tone followed by le. Pu3 tong1 hua4 le, for example. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Hmm... to me: French and Italian sound pretty to me eventhough I know NONE of either. London English is terrific also, I WISH I learned it that way. However, English in general to me is more sophistication and practicality than beauty. I admire the fact that there are several ways to say the same thing, a more educated way, and one that's more common. However, to say that it sounds good is a different matter. As a Native "American" English speaker, I can't help but think my brethren (sometimes myself included) sound like we're lacking oxygen to the brain as it sounds pretty monotonous. Either soft ALL THE TIME, or LOUD ALL THE TIME. This is of course, my opinion.

I'd say Sanskrit and its related languages; Romani, Slovene, Czech; select Niger-Congo, Native American, South East Asian languages; Italian, French, Greek dialects.

My favourite language is probably continental Portuguese, which I also speak, mainly because of its sounding. It can sound quite vulgar, tough also very sophisticated. The written language is also quite beautiful.
French is also very nice, though I do not really like French when it's written, it kind of bores me. I also like the sound of SerboCroat and Russian, though I do not yet know the languages. I really like the sound of Arabic which is one of the reasons why I'm learning it. To me it sounds really guttural and "manly" (don't want to start a war of the sexes here, but it's what I feel!).
