what're some good bookstores in france? I've just activated my international long distance plan, and would like to call some bookstores/other places in order to test my french.

Well, Gilbert Jeune is a wonderful bookstore. Eyrolles is good if you want professional books for a trade, Maison du dictionnaire is a good one for language learners (although Gilbert has one of the largest language sections I've ever seen).

Gibert Jeune / Gibert Joseph is probably the largest bookstore in Paris for language lovers (whether for Language learning or to find foreign novels).

By the way it's spelled Gibert without the L. Most people pronounce it with the L thinking it's a first name.

i tried some earlier, but no one answered. i'll try later on in the day, it's unlimited calling so i can expose myself to french all i want by just picking up the telephone :p.
the calls are going through though, so that's good... just no one is answering on the other end, i'll try later in the day.

lol! surprisingly that thought didnt cross my mind, funny though. anyway, i fell asleep and just now woke up and it's 8:30 in france, so i'll try tomorrow.
