Radio Prague has a very good news service with podcasting in six languages: Czech, English, German, Spanish, French and Russian.

Japanese

Even though it hasn't been updated for a very long time there is still Nippon Voiceblog (http://www.voiceblog.jp/nippon)
Each podcast is about a Japanese tradition and comes with a transcript.

For advanced learners of German the podcast site of WDR5 (radio station focused on culture) may be interesting:

My favourite programmes are these:

German podcast:

Last year I listened to "Woher sollen wir das wissen?". Each episode dedicates itself to a certain question. Therefore the radio hosts call people and institutions that are somehow connected to the matter in question.

Spanish Podcast:

"Desde el baƱo" http://desdeelbano.blogspot.com/

From what I gather, it's basically an Argentinean lady speaking Spanish and explaining regional differences in
Spanish. She has a beautiful voice, and I'm sure it's a great podcast for anyone wanting to familiarize themselves
with Argentinean Spanish.

Do you know if there are podcasts when the speaker reads a text and the viewers can read it with them? You know, like pronunciation lessons.

Canteloup">La revue de presque - a really funny podcast with interviewing
'politicians' about recent news, except it's just one man, pretending to be all these
famous people. Even if you can't understand the content the accents are enough to make
you laugh. (P.S. They have a real interview at the beginning before the comedy show).
I'd also recommend Europe1
as a source for other podcasts. I always enjoyed listening to them on the radio and
their presenters always seems very passionate, with some interviews turning into
arguments!

Franzi, have you stopped updating this thread?

This is the best one!

Thank you very much
