I would like to second the recommendations for Radio Lingua's podcasts. I used 'Coffee Break Spanish' for beginning Spanish, and another program (I forgot the title) for German idioms. The producer, Mark, seems very knowledgeable about languages and linguistics, and I found his explanations to be quite helpful.

I also used to use japanesepod101 a lot, too. It was great because it had lessons for each level (even audioblogs with transcripts for advanced speakers); however, lately it's become a bit too scripted and pushy with its marketing for my taste.

I also did the free trial for Spanishpod101, and am afraid I can't recommend it at all. It was so scripted and cheesy, and introduced too much 'textbook' language instead of the natural Spanish I wanted to learn.

French
Radio-Canada : http://www.radio-canada.ca/radio/baladodiffusion/

I'm not learning french (it's my native language) but I thought I could add this interesting link because it's not french
from France but from Canada (Quebec), for those interested. The term baladodiffusion, by the way, was
penned by people from Quebec to replace the English term podcast. So you french learners can add that to your
vocabulary and look knowledgable ;)

I really recommend "Detektor" for Danish, even if it doesn't have transcripts. It's a show where the host verifies the validity of statements or affirmations presented by politicians or news hosts.

The podcast won an international award last year
