I am looking to work part time or self employed I would be interested to know if there is a site one can join to find people who are free for conversation exchange 9-5. This is something I am really interested in, if this sort of thing didn't exist I'd be interested in starting something.

If such an organization doesn't exist would anyone be interested in helping me create it?

Thanks will check them out however I am looking specifically for websites that will allow
me to meet up with people during the weekday. Most people work during the daytime. I plan
to work from home setting up my own business and it would be really nice to meet people
in the afternoon for language practice. I am very interested in meeting up face to face.
If anyone has any ideas about networks for the self employed to practice languages I will
be very interested.

Although gospeaky does allow you to select availability which is very helpful in finding
a daytime exchange. So thank
you for that recommendation.

I know some people advertise language exchanges on Gumtree, although one must obviously
be careful there. I haven't heard of anything as specific as what you want, but I've seen
quite a few people taking part in language exchanges during the day time, so it's
possible through the existing channels.

@rmel,
Please excuse me for using your discussion thread to respond to "Ruan".

@Ruan,
I received your Private Message on the "other" HTLAL Forum. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with my Outgoing Private Messages. I replied to your PM, but the posting function has aborted. So, here is my reply:

Thank you very much for considering me as a potential Language Partner. Nonetheless, I will be letting this opportunity pass. I have studied "a little" Portuguese, but my level, which is barely A1, would make for truly arduous conversations. Also, I am one of those rare individuals who finds Skype language exchanges somewhat stressful. Thank you, once again, for the offer.

Kindest regards,
Speakeasy

Do you mean meeting in person? People in another timezone may well be able to skype etc during the day.

@Speakeasy please give more details of your problem, preferably on the new forum :)
