Does anyone here follow EMK's log? There's a lot of little nuggets in there we could
take out of context for a name!

EMK

I think Team P^{-1}(P(L)) has a nice geeky ring to it, and would be relevant for
all of us (page 106, message 844). Of course, he'd have to teach us how to actually
pronounce it.

I will be using my log from 2013 for next year. There is a link to the start of TAC 2014 on the first page, or you can see it here.

2014 is the year for French for me. I'm hoping to go to France for a week or two in early 2015, so I better get moving. :)

If anyone wants to speak some French with me, I'll be in this Google Hangout for the next half hour at least, or maybe an hour: link

I figure we might want to organize times for hangouts in the future, but you can also just post up links in a whim if you feel like talking.

I just finished watching Les Revenants, and it was fantastic right up until the
end. I had read some reviews that said the last episode 'ruined' the series. I disagree
... I was on the edge of my seat right up until the final minutes. And then I was
jumping right out of my seat the next couple hours every time I heard a door creaking
in the wind.

This was the longest series I've watched without subtitles, and it was very rewarding.
I thought: I've reached the next level! And then I tried to watch Maison Close,
and was lost. I understood that it was set in a brothel (that part was graphically
obvious), but I couldn't figure out who all the men were, or even tell all the hookers
apart.

I read a synopsis of the first episode on wikipedia, and might try to watch it again & see if I can follow along better the second time.
