Why not just be realistic? This kinda reminds me on how in sports a team can only be declared the champion if the standings don't change even if they lose all the remaining matches. This makes sense for sport, but why have so many rules based on a faint hope that everyone writes more than two pages in their logs? Many never write even ONE. That's not hard to keep up with.

I'm with Serpent. So many people drop out, especially so many newbies, that limiting a team to 15 seems really low to me. I don't think combining teams later in the year is the solution to that. (There's nothing wrong with combining teams if needed, of course.) Some teams, like the Russian team, that have a good track record might want to limit, but I'm not sure that's the best approach for all the teams. 2 persons have voted this message useful | ||||||

For what it's worth, I think the limit is sensible. If half the people drop out, I think 7 is a good number of participants for one team. Not too much, not too little.
