Well, an unexpected snow day has allowed me to finish reading another book. Even thought the challenge is
officially done, I'm still going to try to hit my goal.
2364/5000 47%
8. Dilema: La Lucha de un sacerdote entre su fe y el amor (351 paginas)
Reading is so much easier now. It's been more of a lack of time that derailed me, as I haven't even been reading in
English. Here's to finishing in 2014!

I am afraid I have been delayed - I will publish it as soon as I can. Sorry :-)

Is the super challenge to be renewed for a second edition from January 1, 2014 to August
31, 2015? |

No, but it will be renewed from May 1st 2014 to December 31st 2015. :-)
By the way, if there are more who have participated in the Super Challenge but who have not used the bot,
then please come forward ASAP! |

I haven't used the bot. And if I remember correctly, I haven't posted here my final results. My thoughts on the challenge are in my 2013 log. So, I'm coming forward!
ASC English:
200 movies (or rather 400 episodes of tv series with a few movie exceptions: Completed easily. It was basically an excuse for a lot of fun.
86,4 out of 200x100 pages. A lot of fun but reading takes time. I noticed some influence of the authors on my writing style, even though so tiny noone else could have noticed :-D
ASC French:
106,5 movies (or again, mostly x2 tvseries episodes). Great! I was quite proud of myself to get over 100! I've noticed a lot of the expressions coming to my thoughts during the day and my thinking, more thinking in the language, automatisation of understanding. Right now, I can already watch vast majority of tv series in French just as comfortably as in English or Czech.
69,2 x 100 pages out of 200. That is not as much as I wanted by far but still not bad. My comprehension is near perfect (of course, there are still areas out of my comfort zone but they are not that different from those in Czech or English), I've noticed some effects on my writing but far from huge.
halfchallenge Spanish: given up, despite being started. I had 11 movies or so out of the fifty and I already saw a relatively huge difference.
So, I loved it but I think the ASC 200+200 is too much for normal people. It took a lot of my "language" time but there were results, even though I should have made more time for other things as well.
I definitely want to sign up for the next round, even though only for one or two regular SCs (100+100).
I've read a huge part of this thread and more logs than was healthy and more than I could have posted to.Great job, everyone. It was an awesome journey to embark on together. I hope you have enjoyed it at least as much as I have and we'll dive into the madness again on the 1st May. Despite my love for reading (and tv series ;-) ) I couldn't have pushed myself and progressed that much on my own. Thank you.
