Although he is considered the father of the Italian language, he is an author from the Middle Ages and many of his famous works are poems which add an element of difficulty.
I think high schools in Italy teach Dante only during the last three years, when students are 16-18 years old, due to the themes and language used. If you take his most famous work for example, the Divina Commedia, there are parts where his language is very close to current Italian while others make heavy use of puns, archaic forms, allegories or have dialectal influences making them less easy to understand.
Still, if you are interested you could look for "Benigni legge Dante" on Youtube, it's a series of videos where actor Roberto Benigni reads extracts from Dante's Divina Commedia and comments them...with a good dose of irony ;)

There should be a button to add tags, but I think only senior members can see it :/

Thank you. I mostly meant that I haven't even read a translation into my native language, tbh :/ I hope my Latin will help one day... I already have the book, actually.
@StarcrazyAngel, just say which tags you want to add and someone will help? :)

Tanti auguri per capodanno a tutti!
Dovremmo scegliere presto il nome della nostra squadra, non é vero?
Io preferisco squadra Allegria, e voi?

I think most of the poeple already said their ideas about the name. If I count it right, name "Forza" had the biggest support and just behind is name "Dante".
For me both are great. :)
