Also ich schreibe aus 2015, es gibt auch Leben drin. Ich weiß nicht ob es gut ist, weil wir es gut noch machen
sollen. Ich wünsche euch damit zu gelingen!

This is a nice website showing the variation in spoken German across Germany and Austria. Looking at these maps you can really see the north/south divide in the country >

I'm not home and can't get any good studies apart from bits of music and Duolingo, but to those who are
home or able to study I offer some things:
- January challenge: describe your level of German and write about your goals, preferably write a bilingual
version (if you can't tell enough in German, write more in English
- Team Chat - it would be nice to gather in a chatroom and test our abilities to use German as a conversation
language, later we can also try Team Video Chat (hehe)
- Resources exchange: recommend textbooks and books, apps and games, audiobooks and songs, and write
your impressions afterwards

I'm back home and though I can't really do anything about January challenge, I can easily begin RE (Resources Exchange).
So my RE would be:
movie: Die kommenden Tage
book: Stefan Zweig - Angst
textbook: none really, although maybe Langenscheidt Grammatik Intensivtrainer A1 (a textbook I have managed to complete!)
apps/games: LingLing German (Android)
audiobooks: Schachnovelle read by Christoph Maria Herbst - beyond awesome!
songs: {the list is gonna be long)
Dornenreich - Ich bin aus mir
Dornenreich - Der Hexe flammend´ Blick
Dornenreich - Schwarz schaut tiefster Lichterglanz
Angizia - Ich bin ein Bewohner des S/W Diagramms
Angizia - Anastasia Spennocchi, 1920
Angizia - Zügellos
Empyrium - Waldpoesie
Untoten - Mit den Augen der Nacht
(and also it is dark and specific and blah-blah-blah, I know)

I ask anyone who wasn't aware of something here and checked this something afterwards to leave some sort of a feedback. Nearly everything here is something that I was deeply impressed with. For example, Angizia became the last drop,
which has pushed me to begin studying German back in the winter/spring of 2013.

Hey guys! I'll be actively studying German from February on, because I'll be going to the Polyglot Gathering in Berlin, May this year, so I'd like to join this team!

I already have the basics and I can speak Dutch to some extent, and I'm sure it'll help me get the job done.

For those willing to follow my progress, I'll be using my old log, which can be found here.

Thank you very much, and auf wiedersehen! :)

I have a question for my teammates! I have nearly finished reading my very first German book, Der Kleine Prinz. Can you recommend me something to read for my second book? I can handle things written in the simple past, but my vocabulary is still pretty narrow, so I would rather something with fairly simple, everyday vocabulary.

I don't mind if its a children's book (although I am bored of Harry Potter already), but if you could recommend something aimed at adults so much the better.
