Welcome to the Advanced English Team! (name is provisional)
Although quite a lot of people here speak English as fluent as their native language (some of them are lucky enough to actually be native speakers, hehe), there are also users who are not quite comfortable with their English.
First step ('tis short and easy) one can take here is to admit that our English is advanced (otherwise you'd be far away from here in no time).
Second step is neverending and means actually advancing your English. Advanced learners, as it may seem to you, go totally different ways. One needs literature, another craves for scientific stuff, etc. However, we do have something in common: and this is the way English works.
We might need different set of words to go through, but complex sentences with weird syntax are present in a lot of native materials.
It might seem funny to most, but conversational English, compressed and filled with slang, isn't the easiest thing to deal with, sometimes sentences are so hard that you need to know a good deal of morphology, quite a share of phrasal verbs and some other things that we can only classify as advanced.
Last but not the least: many people take exams to certify their knowledge of English. These exams aren't exactly cheap most of the time, and sometimes it's reasonable to get to C1 before taking the exam if your current level is somewhere between B2 and C1 for it is kinda expensive to certify B2 and then C1, don't you think? (Same goes for C1-C2 and honestly every other pair of bordering levels).
So what are we up to here? To share our experience, our goals and our methods, to help each other, to learn from each other and do a lot of other things to become more confident in our English.
Who is going to do it? Here you go:

Thank you for taking on that unpopular task. Who is going to be the second team leader / co-leader?

I already posted this in the general TAC 2015 thread, but since it gets quite a lot of replies mine could get lost so
I'll re-write it here:

If no one else volunteers as co-captain I could do that, if that's okay by you of course :)
This way you won't have to manage two different teams by yourself. |

Nice to see the thread open! Thank you Via Diva and suzukaze for co-captaining the team. Now we need some godparents to assist and check our spelling (at least this is my main difficulty).

suzukaze, it's more than okay for me :)
Yeah, having godparents would be great.
However, why to check spelling, Expugnator? Don't you rely on spellcheckers which you can install in any browser? I personally do :)
