I'd like to sign up for this team.

I'll be continuing with French, and my log is here. Best of luck, everybody!

I'd also like to join this group. Catalan and Italian are now and will continue to be until March my main focus languages.

On March 1st I'll start a "big new language project", but hope to keep improving on Catalan and Italian alongside.

As for group activities, I believe that listening to original TL music, sharing our opinions and impressions about them, in TL, and trying to analyse some grammatical points could be helpful and interesting, whatever level difference there may be among us. I'd like to join activities like that even for French and Spanish. Of course, anything related to Portuguese would also make me happy :-))

My log would remain the same one I'm using now for TAC 2012 and Assimil Experiment.

Pax is a great name, although there is already the Мир Team. I'd suggest the name Ops.

Edit: See also this and this:

Is it possible to go for associate membership? This has all the looks of becoming a fantastic team, which I
would love to be a part of. I also need to pick up my Italian which is sorely neglected, and I am fairly fluent in
spoken French and Spanish. My problem is that I am already heavily into organizing the Russian team, very
active on the Greek team, Godmother of the Scandinavian team and need to get more involved in the Super
Challenge again. All that on my regular "no time available schedule" makes it hard to be fully committed to
what looks like it is going to be a very vibrant and active team.

So could I be associate member with rights to read and comment, but with less obligations than the other
team members? And I would of course bow out if my place was needed by someone else ;-)

I am posting this on the main sign-up thread and on all team logs.

This is a special announcement for all teams, certain ones more than others:

-The purpose of TAC teams is to support, help and encourage each other. “All for one and one for all.” That means reading each other’s logs, and commenting them where appropriate. It also means no more bickering.

- It the future all teams will be closed upon reaching 15 members, and new teams will be formed for those languages. Should a new team only attract a few members (about 5-7 depending on the team members prior TAC experience) by the sign-up deadline (31. January 2013), they will be merged with the original team. If in the course of the year, the teams lose half their members, they may also choose to merge. Any team that already has more than 15 members will not be divided, but they will not be allowed to add new members.

- Each team is to choose a team leader by Tuesday, 18 December. Inform me of your choice by then. The leader must have prior TAC experience unless there is no such person on the team. The leader is to keep me up-to-date regarding their team.

- I have created a French team and a Spanish team. Anyone studying those languages may choose to join them if they wish. The original Romance teams will remain in existence for those who are studying other Romance languages or who are interested in multiple languages. Note that even if you are only studying French or Spanish you may choose to be on a Romance team rather than a single language team. If there is enough interest for an Italian, Portuguese or Romanian team, I will create one. However, I would like those who may be interested in such a team to gather at least 5 team members before asking me to form the team.

I am sorry to have to make these additional rules, however it is obvious that certain teams are already on the verge of falling apart and a number of more experienced TAC members have noticed this and sent me PM’s requesting that I do something.

You can add me up as well.
Starting French as my first-ever romance language (native Finnish speaker) and this will also be my first time learning a language by myself. I spotted this whole TAC thing about half an hour ago and found it as an excellent match with my own study schedule.

To be exact, I'm going to start on the 3rd of February (the day I'll be returning from my Japan exchange). I'll make a log and add the link here before it.

If someone is wondering, being totally newbie with all this just makes it even more exciting ;)

P.S. I searched the forums for the French TAC team of which Brun Ugle mentioned but might be that nobody just haven't created a thread for that yet. This group looks promising though, might stay here if nothing else comes up.

The French team was just create this morning, so it's not so strange that you didn't find a log for it. A log will probably be made once it has gathered enough members, which I expect to happen fairly quickly.

I have created a poll for the team name. Please only vote once. :)

I just updated the team list on the first page. If I'm missing anyone or have any information wrote, please let me know.

Of course. We would be happy to have you. :)

Hopefully we will be a little more organized than team Romulan. LOL
