Well, I am unlikely to join the Facebook group and I apologize for being a bit less
active as French is now priority till the 13th February.
But I thought I'd share some of my favourite resources that I intend to use this year:
grammar:
Gramática de uso del Espanol
Gramática Anaya
vocabulary:
Viva el vocabulario
Vocabulario Anaya
digital tools:
Anki
Duolingo (but with caution, I may not use it after all, I don't like it as much as the
version for German. There is weird vocabulary and the personal pronouns are used
everywhere, which is unnatural and not as correct as I would expect from such a
seriously looking resource)
tv series:
dubbed ones, like Erase una Vez, Demonios de Da Vinci etc.
originals, including some mentioned by Stelle, you can watch some from anywhere in the
world on rtve.es :-)
books:
Zafon and others. I've already got a nice shelf, more about my reading and
recommendations will follow in my log
music:
Nena Daconte, Zenttric, Quinta Estacion, Enrique Iglesias, lots of salsa and bachata
music

I'm definitely interested in reading about that! I went to the library today and they have a fairly extensive
spanish collection but it's hard to know where to start. I checked out La ciudad de las bestias by Isabel
Allende to start with.

¡Hola team Spanish!
I have to admit...I'm a bit surprised at how quiet this team thread is, considering how active many Spanish learners
are in their logs. Anyone interested in monthly challenges? Or something else to help us mesh a bit as a team?

I am, and I was actually about to ask about it in here, but I didn't have any
suggestions for types of challenges and so forth.

I am! I've always been interested in a team Skype session but it's never really worked out (if anyone does want
to, saturdays are best for me but I could make other days work too!). Team challenges are also good!
A few updates: I've been watching this show called Velvet on Netflix recently and I'm enjoying it a lot more
than I thought I would. It's about a seamstress and the owner's son of a fashion house in 1950s Madrid falling
in love. It's a bit over dramatic at times but I think that helps me understand, and it's nice to have lots of
subplots going on to keep you engaged!
My little sister and my mom have both been starting to learn Spanish lately so it's fun to chat with them =)
And I might be going to volunteer in Peru for the month of May!! It's great incentive to practice conversation
and listening comprehension, since I don't get a ton of opportunities to do that in class/at home.
I haven't really been updating my log, sorry about that!
