Well, back then I was still getting used to reading Polish words, so each word was reading practice. And you encounter words at a higher rate while using public transport. (That day's immersion also included using ticket machines and figuring out schedules).
I agree that this rate is not sustainable, I'm just doing my best to show that we shouldn't set any arbitrary limit on how much you can report per day. (Assuming your average isn't close to 24h a day, although occasionally this too can be possible, but obviously that's even harder to sustain)

I'll never agree that an hour with a typical textbook is anywhere near as useful as an hour of immersion. |

You seem to think that with more productive activities we can be more lenient (like we can count Assimil more leniently than with Rosetta Stone), or if the activity was more productive to that one person then we can be more lenient?

The bot misunderstood my book title as time spent, LOL.
My usual tweet format:
@6WCBot 070min #es #voca La_sombra_del_viento
the last item being the book title.
Problematic tweet:
@6WCBot 010min #zh #list 1min
"1min" being the book title I translated from "一分鐘台語生活會話" (One Minute Taiwanese Everyday Conversation). It didn't occur to me that I can't write "1min" just like that or the bot would misunderstand. Now the bot thinks I did 11 minutes of work, LOL.

Umm neither? It's mostly about how much you focus, even if the input isn't comprehensible? I do tend to think that some extremely focused activities could be worth counting as over 100%, but I obviously don't do that :D (I mean for example playing in the expert mode on lyricstraining. That's 3-4 minutes that definitely take more effort than the same time spent on reading explanations in L1)

I'm a bit surprised to discover this, but since February 2nd, I'm currently at 125 hours.
A large part of that is because I spend 25 hours a week in class having conversations and
working intensely with my teacher (which I think counts as 100%), but I'm also spending
quite a bit of time on my own as well. Which means I would be safely in the lead by about
50 hours... Some activities should probably reduced by half to be more fair (some more,
some less)
I'll be happy to post a detailed breakdown of all my activities nearer to the end as I'm
currently tracking everything on an app on my phone.
Edit: I've since read the last few pages and I feel qualified to comment on 'immersion'... Unless you're actually using the
language for something concrete for 5 minutes or more, I don't think it should be counted.
I'll go back into my hole to finish my flashcards now. :)

We're halfway past the current 6WC! How have you been doing?!
I'm so please I made it to the 4th at the moment. It's been so hard, since almost all my activities are hardcore "study" activities like flashcards and grammar (78.24% is on vocabulary), while the 3 members above me seem more to be "using" their languages (48.22% "tv", 51.66% "net" and "football", or 46.62% unknown + 18.07% "work"), which look a bit more pleasant.
Normally, I do a range of activities, but this month I just happen to be at a stage where all I need is vocabulary. Or maybe I got overly excited about Memrise's February Goal Setter Challenge, lol. I participated with 12 courses/goals, lol. I'm also staying at home a bit more because of an ankle sprain.
Let's see how I fare in the next 21 days!

Three more days!!
I've done an amazing amount in my textbook and grammar--way more than I expected to.
How's everyone else doing?
