아자 아자 화이팅!
(It doesn't matter if you don't understand the meaning) :)

I've seen enough Korean television to know 화이팅. Don't know 아자 아자, but it sounds like a chant all together.

Yes, it is almost a chant for victory. :)

Where did you get this text book? The sentences are way too interesting to resist..

I bought it from Borders in Singapore. It's actually a two book series with a strict constructionalist approach to the language. From my experience in Korea, the situations and vocabulary covered are quite appropriate. The sentences I have picked out in this thread are not the norm.

The first book, courtesy of Amazon: Here

After reading a lot of great information on this site and others, I'm going to make some changes to my study routine.

Previously, with each lesson of my book I did three things:
1) Memorize all of the vocabulary words through flashcards
2) Read through all the grammar notes
3) Write out the answers to all of the exercises at the end of the chapter

Now I will be doing the following:
1) Add a variety of the Korean sentences presented in the lesson to my SRS
2) Read through all the grammar notes
3) Study using the SRS, using the text as a reference for sentences I don't understand

I'm very confident that this will at least double my rate of learning, and certainly make studying much less tedious.
