Last time I took this test, I tried half-heartedly to be honest and conservative, and I got about 45%. This time I strictly restrained myself and didn't give any answers that weren't 100% true and didn't make me hesitate for a moment... and I got 55%. I can't wrap my mind around this.

"You scored 48.13% on the Language Geek Test! You've earned the title of Senior Language Geek."

I feel like this question was written about me:

"created my own method for learning or teaching languages / grammar / vocabulary / script

and am now flooding language forums about it"

3951 people have now taken the test (well, probably some twice) and the average score
is 23.24% (Language Geek).

The breakdown:

633 Wannabe Language Geeks (0-5%)
270 Apprentice Language Geeks (5-10%)
1805 Language Geeks (10-30%)
980 Senior Language Geeks (30-50%)
202 Master Language Geeks (50-70%)
21 Extreme Language Geeks (70-90%)
40 Insane Language Geeks (90%-100%)

I don't believe there are 40 Insane Language Geeks; it breaks the distribution
considering there are only 21 Extreme Language Geeks, and the range is narrower, too.
Most likely people who just clicked all the checkboxes.

You scored 40.63% on the Language Geek Test! You've earned the title of Senior Language Geek .

I took it again. I am getting geekier. (5 % more) That's shocking news :-)

Just found the test. I'm not very language-geeky (22.5%), which was not a big surprise. Some of the things I lost points on:

* I don't really own any paper dictionaries or language courses, or even DVDs.
* I don't correct people's mistakes (in fact that's something I associate with linguistic ignorance).
* I didn't have any language interests before the age of 15.

Also, I took a guess at Kalaallisut and I was mistaken, so I should lose some points there.

Slap bang in the middle. Maybe I should talk to strangers more?
