Hier ist deine Hausaufgabe viel Spass beim lesen :)

Merhaba Mert,

Iyi anladim!

Gut gemacht 90/100 :)

Oldukça hızlı öğrenmene rağmen ismin hallerini bazen yanlış kullanıyorsun sanırım biraz daha pratik yapman gerekli.
Ayrıca Türkçede hangi kalıp nasıl kullanılıyor iyice ezberlemen lazım.
Mesela
Prüfung Schreiben
Sınava girmek =Prüfung eintreten

Suppe essen
Çorba içmek=Suppe trinken usw usw :)

Also denk niemals auf Deutsch zB

OUR PRIVATE TURKISH STUDY GROUP

According to severe weather conditions here I have decided to cancel our private study group for this evening. I have to interconsent with W., if we can postpone it to another evening this week. There is a heavy snowstorm going on with wind and wet snow, so I would become wet all over. Let's see, which alternative W. will suggest...

Fasulye-Babylonia

PS: Our private study group Turkish is definitely cancelled this week, because my studypartner W. is sick!

STAND DER DINGE TÜRKISCH

Ich bin seit ein paar Tagen krank, aus dem Grund ruhen zur Zeit meine Lernaktivitäten. Ich hoffe, dass ich bald wieder gesundheitlich fit bin, sodass ich meinen normalen Lernrhytmus wieder aufnehmen kann.

SELF-STUDY OF GRAMMAR DRILLS

I am fit again for language study and work tomorrow. Today my topic is grammar, because an important topic of Unit 14 of "Güle Güle" are the verbforms and the usage of the Imperative (in Turkish: buyuru)

I would like to explain to the readers of my log how I learn such verbal conjugation patterns. It is important to mention that I have learning experiences with 12 languages (some of them I had to abandon, therefore you will not find them in my profile). With this background it is common for me to do drills of verbal conjugation patterns. (I have done that with the other languages as well, so it is not a new method for Turkish).

Step 1: First I have a close look at the conjugation patterns in the grammar book and I try to understand the logic of a certain tense, in this case the Imperative. As I have a weak memory anyway, only looking closely at the verbal patterns does not make me learn them.

Step 2: I have to take the next step, that means to do the "hard work" of language learning and to drill them. Therefore I collect a random list of 10-15 Turkish verbs - for this language selected into the four groups of vocal harmony (u - ü - i - ı) and I will use all of these verbs to write my own verbal patterns on a sheet of paper. After the whole drill procedure the verbal patterns and therefore the new tense will stick in my memory.

I will demonstrate this by using the example of the Imperative:

In this case I chose a list of 12 random Turkish verbs as follows:

1. okumak = lesen
2. yazmak = schreiben
3. gezmek = spazierengehen
4. dinlemek = zuhören
5. yürumek = zu Fuß gehen
6. dönmek = sich wenden
7. sapmak = abbiegen
8. çikmak = hinausgehen
9. sürmek = dauern
10. çalmak = klingeln
11. almak = kaufen, nehmen
12. unutmak = vergessen

OK, this is my list to work with.

Step 3: I design the structure of the pattern.

My structure in this case is:

The Imperative (= buyuru)

Positive

sen
o
siz
siz
onlar
onlar

Negative

sen
o
siz
siz
onlar
onlar

Step 4: I write this pattern several times on my sheet of paper.

Step 5: The last step will be to fill these patterns with the verbal forms of all the 12 listed Turkish verbs.

Here I will only take the first verb on my list to demonstrate this:

The Imperative (= buyuru)

Positive

sen oku
o okusun
siz okuyun
siz okuyunuz
onlar okusun
onlar okusunlar

Negative

sen okuma
o okumasın
siz okumayın
siz okumayınız
onlar okumasın
onlar okumasınlar

This methodical way of dealing with verbal drills was completely new to my studypartner Turkish, so I explained and demonstrated to him how to do this. For example he has never learned at school how to do such verbal drills. But now he profits from my expertise and learns Turkish tenses succesfully.

PRIVATE STUDY GROUP TURKISH POSTPONED TO INDEFINITE

Today I received a phonecall that my studypartner W. is still sick. Therefore it's uncertain what will happen to our Turkish study group this week. Anyway, this will give me the chance to do some extra self study Turkish.
