Thank you, again! I think, such a deck will be of help. And you are right about exposure. I feel I'll be more comfortable about declensions when I dive into real stuff such as books and audio. But for that I need more vocab, so I'll learn it!

German:
- Assimil 73, 74

Mandarin:
- Pimsleur Mandarin Chinese III - 16-20;
- story 4 from the reader

Italian:
- Assimil 3-8
- Pimsleur Italian I 4-8

Spanish:
He visto la peli biografica "Frida", muy triste y tragica, que se trata de la vida de una pintora famosa mexicana. En la juventud ella habia sufrido un accidente del autobus y despues tenia que vivir con el dolor incesante. Tenia relaciones dificiles con el marido-pintor que nunca era leal y el estilo de vida no soludo. Siempre reflejaba su vida en sus cuadros.

So, I did much Italian and not much of anything else. Everything I did about Italian was oral, but from now on I'm going to write out the new words and sentences from the Assimil course into a notebook as I feel that the comprehension and retention are incomplete and that makes me feel uneasy.

- He visto una pelicula demasiado divertida "El Pequenio Nikolas".

- Anki - Now that summer has come I spend a lot of time outdoors with the children and therefore I can't spend so much time at the computer entering new vocab into Anki. So I took up the ready deck (20000+ Mandarin HSK Sentences). At first I was very excited, but then I noticed there are mistakes in some cards. Can anyone tell me if it is worth studying? Instead of Anki, I began writing out new vocab with example sentences into a separate notebook. I'll revise from it whenever the opportunity comes.
- listened to Chinesepod Elementary podcasts.

I was studying that deck myself, and the mistakes mostly seem to stem from faulty
automated generation of the Pinyin. There are quite a few of those, but I believe the
sentences are fine.

I stopped studying these sentences for the time being because
1) there are too many sentences that are not applicable to me in any way
2) there are a lot of sentences trying to explain a HSK 2 word by using several HSK 4/5
words
3) a lot of entries are simply too long to be considered one bit of information and
those are also demotivating for study, if it takes me a minute to read a sentence
before I can decide if it was easily understandable or the like.

The original 10,000 sentences method insisted on extracting the sentences yourself from
what you encounter and I am starting to think that they were right.

They were definitely right, but it is rather time-consuming. So, I'll give the deck a try, and if nothing comes out of it, I won't be stressed and disappointed, I'll just turn back to my own deck.

English:

Recently I've been listening to a programme called "Verbal Advantage". I would definitely recommend it to advanced English learners. It provides the listeners with the information about the use of the words which are not so widely used in everyday communication, but without which you will never sound educated.

I learned about this series from syzygy's books about poliglots. This book is worth mentioning, too. For me, it was a very interesting read. I like biographies, and language learning biographies are twice as absorbing.
