Hobbema
There was an unnecesary blank space in the address, I corrected it in the original post. Thank you for pointing it out.
Creating written materials is really time-consuming, but it works well for me. As the Chinese script is alien for me, I need to come across the same word many times in several settings to remember it well. Moreover, if you are a kinesthetic to a certain extent, the mechanic memory helps you to learn when you write smth down.

A little passage in Spanish, just about life. Ssory, no stresses:

Continue with goals for 2010.
Spanish and German
1. Harry Potter y la Orden del Fenix and Harry Potter y la Camara secreta - I have these audiobooks both in Spanish and in German. I plan to listen to them chapter by chapter first in Spanish then in German (as my German is much weaker than my Spanish).
I also want to read a couple of other books of this series in Spanish.
2. I also have several audiobooks in Spanish and in German that I intend to listen to. The list will be added later on.
3. I plan to watch one movie in Spanish a week and write down my thoughts about it (in Spanish).
4. Listen to ssl4you podcast.
5. Study the book "Practicas de lengua espanola - niveles medio y superior" (it's about grammar).
6. Listen to "Wieso nicht?" podcasts from Deutsche Welle and study the pdf files that accompany them.

Happy New Year!
So, let's see if I've completed the goals set for 2009.
Mandarin: though I made a long break in my studies, I managed to fininsh the first volume of the textbook and begin the second one. I also covered Pimsleur I and Michel Thomas, and began studying the book of fairy tales. Also worked at Chinesepod podcasts. So I can say Mandarinwise the year (esp. the latest four months) was rather productive.
Spanish: only listening. Never came to studying the book for reading.
German: complete failure. And I don't even want to improve the situation. "Не лежит душа" as the Russians say. But I believe its turn will come sooner or later.

What I already managed to do this year:
Mandarin:
- finihed Unit I of the textbook;
- finished the first tale (it will have to be revised);
- listened to Chinesepod Elementary podcasts;
- Anki 218 entries.
Spanish:
- watched 3 movies in Spanish already (ahead of the schedule!): Avatar, Luna Nueva, Una Novia Para Dos (my opinion a bit later);
- read 132 pages of "Crepusculo" (total 332, Spanish).

So, about the films I've seen.

Hi dragonfly, I myself kind of like these types of posts. I don't study Spanish, but I took it in high school and can make out what you wrote. I think writing about ordinary life kind of stuff in your target language is cool. But this is your log so write what you want...I thought I would mention we ourselves have frigid temperatures here too!

Hi, Hobbema. Right, this year the winter is very cold.
Time to update. What I did about...
Mandarin:
- revised Tale 1 from my reader (now I know it almost by heart) and started working at tale 2;
- listened to ChinesePod Elementary podcasts a lot, thoroughly studied "The Traffic Jam", "Do you have vegetables?", "Your turn to pay!", "Finding an apartment", "Discussing eating" (scriptorium, characters);
- Anki 282 entries.
Spanish:
- finished reading "Crepusculo" (Twilight)- 362 pages;
- watched "Personas sustituas" and "Yo, Robot"
